Croylek Sponsors Charlotte Williams for the 24th World Scout Jamboree!

The World Scout Jamboree is an international Scouting event that brings together the world’s young people to educate & promote peace and mutual understanding and to develop leadership and life skills.

The 24th World Scout Jamboree in North America will feature all the hallmarks of past World Jamboree programs, such as the Global Development Village, the World Scout Centre, a special sustainability initiative, and the socialization elements that allow participants to make lifelong friends from around the world.

Croylek Ltd are proud to sponsor Charlotte Williams from Epsom, Surrey who will be a part of Unit 66 which has been named the "Surrey Stingrays".

From the UK a total of 100 units, comprising of 3,600 young people and 800 leaders, will be attending the 24th World Scout Jamboree. One of the key elements of Charlotte's experience is to raise funds to cover the cost of her own participation in the event and also support Scouts from Third World Countries who would not otherwise be able be afford to attend. Charlotte has written to us to give us a little insight into her experience thus far:

"Over the past year I have organised a couple of fundraising events to raise the funds needed for the trip. In September 2018, at my local scout group’s AGM, I organised a Raffle and a Cake Sale. The event went really well and I was really pleased at the outcome. In October, my family and I held a quiz and curry night at a local school. Around 100 people attended and the night was very successful and a lot of fun. I was really fortunate to have my friends and family around to help on the night and support me.

Over the next few months, my unit will be making the final preparations for our trip, which I am very excited about. I am really looking forward to going to the World Jamboree and all the exciting opportunities and experiences that I will have.
