DESCRIPTION
This tape exhibits excellent handling characteristics and is used in a wide range of electrical equipment. Terylene tape is often employed in Class F (150 °C) rotating machines where an impregnated varnish or resin enhances the thermal ageing characteristics of the yarn.
Exposure at high temperatures will result in a linear shrinkage which can be utilised to consolidate base insulation and improve space factor.
APPLICATIONS
- Wrapping coils
- Tying
- Rotating machines
